Welcome to the EUREKA-Sphere, where scientists, curious humans, and other sentient beings can read articles about Biomedical Research and Life Science breakthroughs. We’ll dip into the history of significant EUREKAs – those magic moments of scientific inspiration more commonly known as the Aha-moment!
We write – you read!
Let us write for you; let our science-based articles kiss your neuronal pathways, ignite a spark of wonder and tell you background stories about Aha-moments, little-known facts, and fascinating details.
This life science blog aims to be different; believe us, you won’t see us delivering news headlines nor superficial stories. We’re only interested in pouring those unique, unforgettable dishes of scientific knowledge – presented in depth and with substance – into your hungry scientific brains.
Our Writers are Scientists by Heart
As scientists by heart and marketers by trade, our passion for science is our daily business. We curate valuable content through literature research, finding connections and selecting the fascinating scientific stories. Think of a mixture between the investigation of Sherlock Holmes, the story-telling of David Attenborough and the enthusiasm of Doctor Who, all squeezed into a snugly fitting lab coat.
Telling Science Stories Differently – No news headlines, no superficial reporting
Having been launched into the depths of the outer-web in August 2018, the EUREKA-Sphere life science blog is officially taking off. Covering stories in biomedical and life science research, sprinkled with Aha-Moments, science beauty and anecdotes from researchers you wouldn’t expect to be true.
Our writers and editors have degrees in biomedical sciences, spanning from genetic cancer research to medical neurosciences and statistical quality management.
Our editors have the honor to pick the articles that will tantalize your brainwaves. Be it breakthroughs in science and society, to showcase an extra dash of that beautiful fluorescence imaging, or the music that played in the lab during a scientist’s magic Aha moment.
Charles Darwin and CRISPR-Cas9 walk into a bar…
Within the EUREKA-Sphere, we are featuring topics like CRISPR, Scientist Profiles, EUREKA-Moments, Lab Etiquette, Science Beauty, Genetic Engineering, and Famous Scientist Childhood Inspiration. Along the journey, we will touch upon soft skill development and further educational features; like how to improve scientific writing and the editing of scientific research papers.
You are important to us! Sign up, ask us anything, and share your EUREKAs
CAVEAT: Blogs live and die with the readers’ interaction, so we hope you will partake in this journey, subscribing to our irregular newsletter, asking questions, adding your Aha-moments and experiences. In the spirit of science and scientific collaboration, let us grow, discover and laugh together.
Up up and away, EUREKA-Sphere
Fun fact: The ‘Eureka effect’ (also known commonly as the Aha! moment or eureka moment) refers to the universal human experience of suddenly understanding a previously incomprehensible problem or concept. Some research describes the Aha! effect (also known as insight or an epiphany) as a memory advantage, but conflicting results exist as to where exactly it occurs in the brain, and it is difficult to predict under what circumstances one can predict an Aha! moment.
